Red/Gary really knows his stuff. My family and I spent over one hundred thousand dollars trying to secure my freedom before I met Gary/Red. He was 100% more effective then any of the professionals we hired along the way in dealing with the parole board. Two writs and it was over. The end result is that I am free because of Gary/Red.

Scott Brevermen--released March 2012

Keith started working on my case and everything changed for my family. I immediately won a new hearing. Through Keith’s contacts, he found me an attorney, and together they worked tirelessly to bring me home. Keith’s help made all the difference and is the largest reason why I am free today. I strongly recommend ECC to anyone serious about fighting the parole board.

Nick Swanson--released 2009

Keith took on my case and worked very hard. His work in filing a writ challenging my three-strike sentence, although we lost, led to my case coming to the attention of the Los Angeles authorities. A year or two later, the error Keith first identified was corrected by Los Angeles authorities, and I was released. Keith’s work brought me home. I can’t thank him enough or recommend him highly enough. ECC will work hard for you. Period.

Gus Geerligs-released 2011

I was convicted for 2nd-degree murder in 1989. I spent 21 years in prison for my offense, fighting to get out for approximately 12 years through the courts. I spent the first 5-6 years fighting on my own behalf and had minor success. You’re probably thinking….so what’s your point? Well, let me tell you, my main reason for writing is to inform the reader researching this website that if not for Gary Eccher, I would not be at home. I met Gary in 2005 when I was almost at my wit’s end with the courts and the arbitrariness I had encountered.

I felt like giving up more than once. Gary was extremely instrumental in keeping my fight alive. So much so that he eventually took over all my cases because he could see I was too close….ruled by my emotions. I write well, but Gary writes better. It did not take me long to realize this. Gary is compassionate and listens to every aspect of the argument before he puts in his opinion. He is not shy, and he will tell you how it is. That is one of the many reasons we became great friends, and I have respect for him.

Obviously, I was granted release through the courts and was released on February 22, 2010. I attribute this to Gary and the few supporters I did have. Lord knows I could not have done it by myself. Oh, and by the way, if you are wondering...yes, my case was published, and Gary wrote the majority of it.

Paul Gaul--released February 2010

I was convicted for first degree attempted murder on a police officer. I spent 25-years of my life in prison trying to prove my innocence then I met Reddog/Gary in 2019 who took on my case and proved my innocence and got me out of prison (Petition for Review granted in the California Supreme Court, which is very rare, with and Order to Show Cause returnable before Appellate Court regarding my actual innocence of attempted murder, 25-years ago.) How effective is that? While my actual innocence case was pending in court, I went back to the Parole Board in 2020 and they released me knowing full well what was going on. He’s definitely better than anyone that ever helped me out in court before. I recommend that anyone who is looking for justice and a good paralegal, Gary/Reddog is your man. If it wasn't for this man I wouldn't be home today spending time with my wife and family.

Marlon Yates - Released October 2020

I was referred to Gary/Red from my friend Scotty Breverman who got out of prison against the parole board by Gary/Red. My family spent over 50K on attorneys with no avail. My family was devastated because none of these attorneys could prevail in my case when I did not hurt or kill anyone. In the end, Gary/Red got the job done. One writ against the parole board which was granted; I went back to the parole board and they granted parole; the Governor declined to intervene and I was released. My mother cried with happiness.

Chris Paonessa-released November 2014

I was referred to Gary Eccher by a friend who spoke highly of Gary’s low cost work for prisoners. I asked Gary to file a Senate Bill-483 petition for me on January 1, 2022, the first day it was in effect. Big shout out to Gary for doing an excellent job on my petition. It played a big role in my expedited release from prison. If I had to wait for CDCR to notify the court, I might still be in prison after 16-years. Gary knows what he is doing. Don’t go anywhere else for services.
